Itinerary:

Day 1: Fes ➝ Ifrane ➝ Azrou ➝ Midelt ➝ Ziz Valley ➝ Erfoud ➝ Merzouga

Depart Fes early in the morning and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and continue to Azrou, known for its cedar forests and Barbary macaque monkeys.

Drive through Midelt and the scenic Ziz Valley, passing palm groves and Berber villages. Arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Optional: Enjoy a sunset camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert ➝ Rissani ➝ Erfoud ➝ Todra Gorge

Wake up early for a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara Desert. After breakfast, ride camels back to Merzouga (if you stayed in the desert) and depart toward Todra Gorge.

Stop in Rissani, a historic town with traditional souks, and continue through Erfoud, known for its fossils and palm oases. Explore the dramatic Todra Gorge, ideal for walking and photography.

Day 3: Todra/Dades Valley ➝ Dades Valley ➝ Skoura ➝ Ouarzazate

After breakfast, drive through the scenic Dades Valley, renowned for its winding roads and dramatic rock formations. Continue to Skoura Oasis, famous for its traditional kasbahs and lush palm groves.

Arrive in Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” and explore Taourirt Kasbah or local film studios.

Day 4: Ouarzazate ➝ Ait Ben Haddou ➝ High Atlas Mountains ➝ Marrakech

After breakfast, visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a historic fortified village featured in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views and stops at Berber villages along the way.

Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon or evening, where your tour concludes with a drop-off at your accommodation.
